1. Are there any qualification rules for getting involved in canberrabusinesspoint activities?
The only qualification rule is that you are a small to medium sized business, beyond this we don't have any qualification rules. We do however have a recommended program pathway that we suggest you follow to maximise the benefit you receive from being involved in the program:

2. How do I register to be informed of latest events and news?
Again, signing up for latest news is as easy as filling in our registration forms linked from the home page for upcoming events and news. |
3. How do I sign up for the workshops?
Signing up is easy, all you need to do is to fill in the workshop registration form conveniently linked from the home page. |
4. How much does it cost to be involved in canberrabusinesspoint and to take part in the activities it offers?
The only cost to you is your time. The program is fully funded by the ACT. |

How do I pay to obtain a ticket to the Awards ceremony?Unfortunately there is no online payment system, but it is still EASY! There are various payment methods. How long have the Awards been running?2008 was the inaugural year for the Canberra BusinessPoint Awards. The Canberra BusinessPoint program was officially launched in July 2007 with the first set of monthly workshops and events commencing in July 2007. |
How will I know if Canberra BusinessPoint received my entry?Online entries - When you have completed your entry and clicked 'submit' online, you will automatically receive a confirmation screen that will notify you your submission has been received. (This will NOT be an email just an instant message on the site). Fax/post/email entries - You will receive an email or phone call to inform you your entry has been received. |
How will I know if I am selected as a finalist?A letter will be sent out to all finalists by 1 June 2010. The letter will state they are a category finalist, and you will be seriously encouraged to have at least one representative form the business present at the awards ceremony. If you do NOT receive any correspondence by this date, you will know you were unsuccessful as a finalist in the 2010 Awards and will be more than welcome to apply for the 2009 Awards. |
If I am a winner, can I use the Canberra BusinessPoint logo?Yes the logo may be used may be used by each winner of each category. However all use of the logo must be approved by a member of the Canberra BusinessPoint team. |

What are the key dates?Entries and nominations for each category will close at 5.00pm on 12th May 2010.The 2010 Canberra BusinessPoint Gala & Awards will be held on Friday 25th June 2010. |
What will be the next step if I am short listed?If you are shortlisted to one of the three finalists for a category or categories, you may be contacted for a brief discussion with one of the judges regarding your entry submission. From then your entry submission and discussion results will determine if you are the most outstanding business in your category. If you are the winner, it will not be communicated to you, but you will be encouraged to ensure that you have at least one representative present at the ceremony. |
Who is eligible to enter the Awards?The ACT Government and Deloitte have initiated the Awards to recognise and celebrate the achievements of small and medium sized businesses in the ACT and region. Any business in the ACT & Region is eligible to enter and/or nominate for 1 or more award categories of choice. All supporting documentation and questions must be answered in order for the entry to be valid. |
Who will be judging my entry?An independent panel of local business experts drawn from various relevant business disciplines will judge your entry submission into the Canberra BusinessPoint Awards. The panel of judges will assess each entry and nomination and decide on three finalists for each category. The winner will be selected from these three finalists. |
Will there be any feedback on my entry submission?As the Canberra BusinessPoint Awards are a competition, please note that it is not possible to provide each entry submission with their own individual feedback. However, general feedback may be provided on request, once the Awards conclude. |
